The Flat Black Spray Paint from Meeco is a high quality, fast drying, 1200°F paint for use on wood, pellet, corn and coal stoves. Can also be used on masonry, brick or composite surfaces. It is also ideal for stovepipe and other metal surfaces with an in-service temperature up to 1200°F. Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. 12oz aerosol can.
How to Use: Prep surface by removing all rust, oil and grease from the stove (do not use paint thinner or mineral spirits- these will leave a residue). Shake Paint well. Make sure to apply a primer if your application calls for it. Apply paint 12-15 inches away from surface in a sweeping motion. If air drying allow 5 days to fully cure, if heat curing wait 4 hours then build a small fire approx 482° F for 30 mins.
Additional Info: For best results, apply multiple thin layers and heat cure. There may be some visible smoke near the stove surface and some unpleasant odor, make sure room is well ventilated.
