The EFC 211 features a two-part design: a control box, typically installed outside the chimney or in an attic, and a speed control unit located in the room with the heating appliance. For solid-fuel applications, compliance with NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm Code) is required, including the installation of a smoke detector and audible alarm.
By measuring the motor’s current draw, the EFC 211 ensures adequate draft at all times, improving safety, efficiency, and appliance performance.
