The Storm Collar is an essential component for use with DuraPlus flashing to ensure a weatherproof penetration through the roof deck. It provides a secure seal by protecting the chimney pipe from rain and debris. For optimal performance, seal the inner edge of the collar to the chimney pipe using a non-hardening 500°F high-temperature sealant. This reliable storm collar helps maintain the integrity and safety of your chimney installation. Available in both 6" and 8" diameters. The ceramic blanket insulation is securely positioned, preventing the hot spots often caused by loose-fill insulation types. In the event of a creosote fire, the compressible insulation allows the chimney liner to expand outward radially. Built to withstand continuous operation at 1000°F flue gas temperatures, DuraPlus meets the rigorous UL standards, including one hour at 1400°F and three ten-minute chimney fire tests at 2100°F.
